We have to continue decentralization in construction and land relations that will help combat corruption in these sectors. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated this, opening a Government’s meeting on Thursday.

"We must continue decentralization in construction relations - and it is a separate issue, in the land sector. It is unacceptable that today people cannot legalize the land plot. I believe there is still room for improvement," said Volodymyr Groysman.

"I will allow neither land surveyors nor builders time for justifying those things that can be the consequence of corruption," he underlined, calling on the responsible authorities to think about this issue," starting from the capital and ending with every district administration."

The Prime Minister noted that the Parliament of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine managed to carry out decentralization in the country for several years. Moreover, from May 1 local authorities have been given power to register business and property.

"I think that Ukrainians will feel improvements in the quality of these services as well as the absence of any opportunities for abuse," pointed out Volodymyr Groysman.
