In 2015, Ukrainian agricultural enterprises received a record net income - $ 4.1 billion

In 2015, agricultural enterprises, despite the devaluation of the national currency, received a record net profit - UAH89.5 billion, or $ 4.1 billion, while in 2014 - $3 billion, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko informed.

Thus, in 2015, profit increased by 2.5 times in hryvnia, and 1.4 times in US dollars.

"The growth of purchasing prices for agricultural products offset in a certain way the rising cost of input resources and ensured the profitability of agriculture at 45.9%. This is the best indicator for the last 10 years," the Minister stressed.

According to him, the most profitable crops were traditionally sunflower seeds (80.3%), rape (44%), grain and legumes (43.2%), soy- 38.4%. The total crop profitability made up 50.9%.

"Such results were achieved thanks to the simplification of the business environment, including deregulation and combating corruption", Oleksii Pavlenko said.

However, along with the highly profitable types of crop production certain types of livestock production are still unprofitable, the overall profitability of which made up 22.6%. Therefore, in order to maintain livestock production, we need additional tools in terms of the abolition of VAT special regime, and the leadership of the Ministry maintains currently this position.
