1 April 2016, a meeting of the Minister of information policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to Ukraine Vassilis Papadopoulos took place.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of expansion of cooperation between countries in the direction of the tourist and cultural appeal, including the broadcast of UATV channel in Greece.

The Minister Yurii Stets noted that the cooperation between the two countries, in particular with the participation of leading media of Ukraine, will expand further opportunities for development of tourism.

" I am sure, that representatives of the tourist sector, the media and the governments of both countries will find cooperation opportunities, in particular in the development of the information space of the two States and promotion of their values, when they will gather at one table of negotiations", - said the Minister.

Intrigued by this proposal, the Honourable Ambassador proposed to consider the possibility of cooperation with the Greek National tourist organization and promised to facilitate contacts between the parties.

Note that the Minister of information policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets conducts regular meetings with ambassadors and representatives of international organizations with the aim to run the international broadcasting TV channel UATV around the world as quickly as possible, giving truthful and official news about Ukraine.

Recall that the launch of the International broadcasting multimedia platform of Ukraine (IBMPU) was held on 1 October 2015. In the framework of the International broadcasting multimedia platform of Ukraine the "UA|TV" channel was introduced instead of satellite "UTR" TV channel. It is broadcasted via three satellites: Amos 3, Azerspace 1, Galazy 19, as well on its own YouTube channel.

The legal basis of the International broadcasting multimedia platform of Ukraine became the Law "On international broadcasting system of Ukraine" developed by MIP, which was signed by the President of Ukraine on 28 December 2015. According to the Law IBMPU is registered as a state enterprise.
