March 27, there took place first election of deputies and heads in ten united territorial communities (UTC) such as: Shatska rural UTC, Volyn region; Myrivska rural UTC, Dnipropetrovsk region; Novoukrayinska rural town UTC, Kyrovohrad region etc.
Thus, presently in Ukraine there have been established 169 united territorial communities.
Like 159 communities, in which the elections were held on October 25, 2015, 10 newly created associations shall receive financial and organizational support from the State, have direct relations with the state budget, and have powers and sources of budget revenue similar to cities of regional subordinance. In particular, the budgets of these communities will benefit from 60% revenue from individual income tax, other taxes and fees. The newly created communities will form their own Executive committees and will be capable of solving all local issues, of managing efficiently their own resource, developing their territory, thus making difference in the lives of their citizens.
Recall that the process of creating united communities is underway in Ukraine. In general, the process of association has already been initiated by over 6 thousands local councils, which makes up more than half of the existing.
As was reported, on April 24, first local elections will be held in three UTC:∙Pskowska rural UTC, Kyiv region; Pryvilnenska rural UTC, Rivne region; Krupetska rural UTC, Rivne region.
