Today, on March 30, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Natalia Jaresko together with Minister for Foreign Trade & Development Cooperation of the Netherlands Lilliane Ploumen opened the Ukrainian-Dutch Business Forum in the Netherlands with the session of questions and answers. The main purpose of this Forum is to introduce trade and investment opportunities in Ukraine.

The Netherlands is de-facto largest foreign direct investor in Ukraine. More than 350 Dutch companies operate, invest, and sell products in Ukraine, thereby creating jobs and contributing to the development of the Ukrainian economy.

According to the Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Dutch and Ukrainian businesses are already working together closely, and this Forum will help to facilitate and strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Ukraine and the Netherlands. “Today, during the Forum, together with Dutch investors, we discussed potential opportunities in Ukraine, in particular, in IT, agriculture, energy efficiency, and infrastructure. Ukraine is committed and determined to increase the volume of trade and investment between our two countries,” said Natalie Jaresko.

Minister for Foreign Trade & Development Cooperation of the Netherlands Lilianne Ploumen noted the importance of cooperation between our countries and showed a desire of the Netherlands to further increase investments and support reforms in Ukraine. "Dutch companies are already among the biggest investors in Ukraine. And it’s good that they’re keen to invest even more in new facilities and in capacity building. This is the reason why we continue to support the reform programme. We welcome initiatives to stabilize the situation and promote economic growth in Ukraine," said Lilianne Ploumen.
