"The
Ministry of information policy of Ukraine for the second consecutive year is implementing complex program of the information
reintegration of Crimea, which aims at a clear definition of the understanding
in the global agenda that the Crimea is Ukraine. The program includes social
information projects, the support of the Crimean mass media, support of
persons, etc.", - this was stated by the Deputy Minister of information
policy of Ukraine Artem Bidenko,
during a round table meeting 16.03.2014 - the second year of
"pseudo-spring" organized by the Gorshenin
Institute and the project “Free Crimea”.
The Deputy
Minister also noted that MIP proposed to define 26 February as a Day of
resistance to the Russian occupation. "We have submitted the initiative to
the Presidential Administration. I hope next year this date will be marked
officially," said Artem Bidenko.
Thus, MIP
continues to work on the official recognition on 26 February as the Day of the
Crimean resistance and its inclusion in the official calendar of events in
Ukraine.
The MIP
initiative was supported by all Crimean activists and journalists. A few months
before 26 February, the MIP held a series of meetings with the Crimean
activists, journalists and human rights activists. On this day the main events
concerning Crimea: the International forum, marathons, flash
mobs, educational activities in schools were held.
In
addition, the approved MIP plan for 2016, includes one
of the key areas – the informational reintegration of the temporarily uncontrolled
territories of Ukraine.
Recall, on 15
September 2015, the Verkhovna Rada
amended the law "On ensuring rights and freedoms of citizens and legal
regime on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine" according to
which the date of the beginning of Crimean occupation shall be determined as 20
February 2014.
