Monitoring
mission of the Ministry of information policy of Ukraine has analyzed the
information situation in the village Svitlychne, Popasna district of Luhansk
region. The village is located near the front line and the Sieviersky
Donets’ ferry. Unfortunately, the village is remote and forgotten by
volunteers.
Until
recently, people received the news only from the Ukrainian fighters here, but
after installation of the transmitting equipment in this district provided by
MIP, the villagers are already provided with the Ukrainian TV signal. In
addition, Advisor to the Minister on ensuring TV and radio broadcasting Oleksandr Brygynets delivered the
newspapers with the Ukrainian news to the citizens.
Local
residents also told Advisor that the Ukrainian news is popular on the other
side of the front line. "Our neighbors on the other side of the front are
watching the Ukrainian news and then calling to find out what of these is
truth, because they don't trust anyone", - Advisor to the Minister
repeated the words of the residents of the village Svitlychne.
Recall that
the Monitoring mission of MIP is constantly in ATO area, the aim of which is to
study and reintegrate the information space of the east of the country.
According to the results, every week, at the meeting of the Commission under
MIP the appropriate decisions are made due to the collected information about
the towns and villages in ATO zone. BRT Concern installs the transmitting
equipment on places and, accordingly, the National Council of Television and
Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine provides the frequencies
for the broadcasting of certain TV channels pursuant to the decisions.
