
Arseniy Yatsenyuk at a meeting with Parliamentary speakers from Baltic states and Northern Europe: It is crucial for Ukraine to have political and economic stability
On Monday, February 1, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with a delegation of Parliamentary speakers from Baltic States and Northern Europe.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed gratitude for the efforts of Denmark, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden, the speakers of which were members of the delegation for support the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine: "We highly appreciate your strong stance against Russian aggression".
The Prime Minister of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the parliaments of the EU member countries for the ratification of the Association Agreement and the FTA between Ukraine and the EU, while to the countries not being the EU members – "for the diplomatic and economic support for reforms in Ukraine and the country's struggle for our freedom and independence".
He noted the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Nordic countries, the Baltic States and Ukraine: "This is the best way to transfer best practices from your countries to Ukraine and vice versa."
"For Ukraine it is extremely important to have political and economic stability. Thereby, political stability is laid down in Parliament, first of all, between the factions of the coalition", accentuated the Head of the Ukrainian Government.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk appealed to the Parliamentary speakers from Baltic states and Northern Europe with a request to hold separate meetings with all coalition factions and MPs to convince the Ukrainian legislators to pursue the path of reform wasting no time and continue adopting laws necessary to implement all the criteria to make Ukraine prosperous and successful".
