On December 2, Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Culture of Ukraine Viacheslav Kyrylenko signed a cooperation program between the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania Republic for 2016-2020 during his working visit to Lithuania on an official delegation of Ukraine headed by President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

According to the signed cooperation program, seeking to promote the further development of Ukrainian-Lithuanian cultural cooperation, the parties agreed to exchange experience as to the participation in programs of the European Union and the Council of Europe in the field of culture, the development of creative industries, as well as continue to develop cultural ties and cultural exchanges in the fields of theater, music and fine arts, cinema, library science and museology, protection of cultural and historical heritage.
