Arseniy Yatsenyuk: We have two issues to raise at the UN Security Council's meeting. Donetsk, Luhansk without Russian troops. Crimea - part of Ukraine
Ukraine as a non-permanent member of the UN Security
Council should offer two issues to be included to the agenda of the UN Security
Council’s meeting: "The first issue is complete withdrawal of Russian
troops from the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. And the second issue
is the return of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to Ukraine and an urgent execution
of commitments by Russia as a permanent member of the UN Security Council to
respect and implement the UN Charter". This was stated by Prime Minister
of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Monday, 23 November, at an extraordinary session
of the Ukrainian Government.
There were participating in the Government session
leader of the Crimean Tatar People Mustafa Dzhemilev,
Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov, Mejlis members.
"We have two global objectives. Donetsk,
Luhansk - without Russian troops. Crimea is part of Ukraine. Attempts by certain
countries to allow an issue of the illegal annexation of Crimea to fade away should
end in a fiasco", stressed the Prime Minister.
