  • Prime Minister of Ukraine had meeting with President of the Republic of Latvia

    On Tuesday, October 27, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with President of Latvia http://www.kmu.gov.ua/img/1x1.gifRaimonds Vējonis. The meeting took place before the scheduled participation of the Ukrainian Prime Minister and the President of Latvia in a round table discussion Latvia’s Solidarity with Ukraine on the path of its European integration, which takes place today in Kyiv.

    The Head of Ukrainian Government expressed gratitude for support of Ukraine by Latvia in the fight for the preserving of Ukraine's independence. "We believe that together with the European Union, we will overcome all the challenges and build a history of success for Ukraine, Europe and your country," he appealed to the President of Latvia.

    Raimonds Vējonis reaffirmed full support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine by Latvia.

    He stressed the importance to deepen bilateral relations between the two countries, to exchange experience in implementing reforms.

    The Latvian President noted that the Ukrainian Government spares no effort to enhance the partnership with the EU and emphasized the need to advance further targeting liberalization of a visa regime between Ukraine and the European Union.
