On Thursday, 17
September, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Israeli Minister of Aliyah
and Immigrant Absorption and Minister of Jerusalem Affairs Zeev
Elkin.
The sides have
discussed the issues of bilateral political, economic and humanitarian
cooperation, as well as security environment in eastern Ukraine and the Middle
East.
Arseniy Yatsenyuk has pointed out that Ukraine is interested in
strengthening a dialogue with the State of Israel. This
goal will be subject to the measures of Ukrainian Government aimed at reviving negotiations
concerning the conclusion of a bilateral agreement on free trade.
Ukraine is also
interested in the further development of humanitarian cooperation and
cooperation in the security area. The
Prime Minister of Ukraine has confirmed the intention to intensify a political
dialogue between the two countries at the highest level.
In addition, it
was confirmed readiness for the next meeting of Ukrainian-Israeli committee in
November 2015.
