"Abolishing a number of unnecessary documents and licenses, in
particular the quarantine certificate, and the
reduction of the logistic chain in the agricultural sector throughout a week enabled
to export a record quantity of grain crops throughout the Independence years, which
made up 34.8 million tons. Such positive dynamics allowed to improve Ukraine’s
performance in the world ranking of grain exporters and it got the third place,
while deregulation has saved to business approximately UAH 5 billion", said
Oleksii Pavlenko, Minister
of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine during a meeting with members of the
American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine.
Among core reforms implemented by Agrarian Policy aimed at the
revitalization of business activity in the industry are deregulation,
denationalization of agrarian state-owned companies, design and introduction of
a new financial tool – agricultural receipts, agricultural insurance
development, support for small agricultural enterprises and rural development,
anti-corruption measures, harmonization of the legislation to EU norms.
"We are engaged into vigorous work to create maximally favorable conditions to ensure development of
entrepreneurship in Ukraine. Our goal is to increase manufacturing of products
with high added value, to enhance their export and to provide a direct access for
producers to foreign markets", stressed Minister Oleksii
Pavlenko.
