Arseniy Yatsenyuk has urgent coversation with Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland in connection with tragic accident near Garwolin

Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk
has held an urgent conversation with Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland Andrii Deshchytsia due to the horrible tragedy that occurred this
morning near the Polish city of Garwolin, which
killed and injured Ukrainian citizens.
The
Ambassador of Ukraine reported the Head of Government of the circumstances of
the tragedy. Arseniy Yatsenyuk
gave immediate orders as to the protection of those affected and instructed to use
all means in providing them with urgent aid in cooperation with Polish
partners.
The Prime
Minister of Ukraine expressed his deep condolences to the victims and families
of those killed in the tragic event.
According
to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Poland Andrii Deshchytsia, this morning
a bus with 49 passengers got in a road traffic accident near the city of Garwolin, which is between Warsaw and Lublin.
Three
persons died on the spot, another two died in hospital.
At the
moment, 22 people are in hospitals near the accident site and in Warsaw.
Another 22 people, who do not require medical intervention, are
currently in the village near the accident scene. They are being provided with psychological
assistance. In addition, a consul of the embassy is on the accident site, she provides consular and legal assistance to those
affected.
Andrii Deshchytsia reported that the relevant Polish services were
very quick in ensuring necessary assistance, in particular, in the
transportation of the victims to hospitals by helicopters and ambulances.
