Arseniy Yatsenyuk meets with Vice President of the European Parliament Richard Charnetsky

On Thursday, July 23, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with Vice President of the European Parliament Richard Charnetsky and Chief Executive of the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists of the European Parliament Richard Milsom.

The Ukrainian PM highly appreciated the support of the European Parliament in the protection of independence and territorial integrity of our country. He highlighted the active and tangible efforts of MEPs united in an informal group of friends of our country. Unity around Ukraine means today unity around European democratic values and international law that need solid defense against the onset of authoritarianism, imperialism and aggression in international relations.

According to Arseniy Yatsenyuk, despite numerous international challenges it is important for the entire European political space to keep the situation around Ukraine under constant attention, thus protecting not only Ukraine itself but also the future of the European Union, peace and security of European nations.

During the meeting the sides discussed the most topical issues of domestic and external situation in Ukraine. The European partners noted the consistent support on the path towards reforms undertaken by the Government of Ukraine. It was also about the further plans of cooperation both in European integration and in combating Russian aggression.
