PM: Budget to receive UAH 1 billion 780 million as dividends from Ukrnafta

The state budget of Ukraine is to receive 1 billion 780 million hryvnias as dividends from the company Ukrnafta, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Friday, May 15, during An Hour of Questions to the Government at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk expressed gratitude to the MPs of Ukraine for the adoption in Parliament of the government's law that allows the state to regain control over the company Ukrnafta.

"A meeting of shareholders is convened. The state has 51%, another shareholder owns 49%. Hence, the shareholder must respect the state the same way the state respects this shareholder", he stressed.

At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that the state owns a controlling stake: "This means that there will change the management of Ukrnafta company and a new shareholders' agreement signed. It means that the State Budget should get 1 billion 780 million hryvnias as dividends from the company Ukrnafta.
