Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with representatives of French business circles in Paris
On Wednesday, May
13, in the framework of his working visit to Paris, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk met with
representatives of French business circles.
The event,
organized by the Movement of French Enterprises MEDEF,
was attended by heads of leading French financial and industrial circles that have
business interests in Ukraine or are interested in investment projects.
During the
meeting, Arseniy Yatsenyuk
focused on key reforms undertaken by the Government of Ukraine for economic and
financial stability and restoration of favorable business climate. It was
announced about a large-scale privatization initiated by the Cabinet of Ministers,
which opens new opportunities for access to French businesses in Ukraine.
Among the main
issues of conversation was the simplification of the regulatory environment, capital
attraction for carrying out investment projects, economic benefits from coming
into force of the EU-Ukraine FTA since January 1, 2016.
Particular
attention was paid to the prospects of investment in the financial sector,
energy, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and agriculture.
In the framework
of his visit to Paris, Arseniy Yatsenyuk
met with France’s President Francois Hollande.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine will also meet with French Prime Minister Manuel Valls, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius, and Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Jose Angel Gurría.
