Ukrainians can apply for compensation and loans for energy efficiency measures to three banks

"At a meeting of the Government, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted decided to compensate to our citizens the costs on energy efficiency, including the acquisition of boilers consuming alternative fuel, the insulation of houses and blocks of flats," Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko informed during a briefing on Wednesday.

"Today we need to keep people informed of the possibility of getting compensating credits for improving the energy performance of buildings just by going to Oschadbank and providing the documents on the purchase of energy efficient materials", Hennadii Zubko emphasized.

According to him, there are three banks participating in this program: Oschadbank, Ukrgazbank and Ukreximbank, "We are anticipating that international financial institutions will join this program," he added.

The Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed that the Government expects the Parliament to pass a bill on common ownership, which will allow to attract to this program not only houses with Associations of Apartment Owners, but the rest, where residents will elect a trustee who will be authorized to engage appropriate funds.
