First meeting of the Commission on investigation into SFS senior officials chaired by Aivaras Abromavicius

On Thursday, February 26, 2015, there was a meeting of the Commission that would conduct an internal investigation into the activity of head of the State Fiscal Service I. Bilous, his first deputy V. Khomenko and deputy A. Makarenko. On behalf of the Prime Minister of Ukraine the Commission should provide conclusions within two weeks.

The task of the Commission will be to review complaints of economic entities on the facts of abuse in the State Fiscal Service, violation of anti-corruption legislation, as well as identification of existing schemes of tax evasion and customs duties. The Commission will include ministers, MPs, representative of the President of Ukraine in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, law enforcement representatives, independent experts and representatives of the public.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk decided to launch this investigation during a conference call at the State Fiscal Service on Wednesday 25 February.
