State and prospects of Ukraine-OECD cooperation

On February 13, 2015, a meeting of the Coordinating Council for OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) Relations concerned the state of implementation of existing projects (programs) and directions of further cooperation with Ukraine. Announcing the purpose of the meeting, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius stressed the need to focus on identified priority areas for further cooperation for the biennium, as well as the implementation of the OECD recommendations, obtained in the framework of implementation of joint projects. Representatives of the Ukrainian side and the OECD have provided comments on issues planned to discuss and trends of further activity and an outline of the implementation of the OECD programs and projects in Ukraine.

During the meeting of the Coordinating Council for OECD Relations included the following projects (programs): sectoral competitiveness strategy for Ukraine, the third phase in agribusiness and energy; creating conditions for establishing a loan guarantee scheme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in agribusiness; SME Policy Index: Eastern Partnership countries; the second review of the investment policy of Ukraine regarding investment policy in agribusiness; greening of SMEs; Ukraine's participation in the anti-corruption initiative and investigating financial crimes in the taxation area; conducting research on policy and integrity in the education field in Ukraine.
