Viacheslav Kyrylenko met with Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Christoph Weil

On February 9, Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Culture of Ukraine Viacheslav Kyrylenko met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Ukraine Christoph Weil at the Government House.

During the meeting Viacheslav Kyrylen thanked the Ambassador of Germany for the humanitarian and other support, which his country gives for Ukraine in this difficult time.

During the meeting the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, particularly in the field of culture. So, it was about the work of the Joint Ukrainian-German Commission on return and restitution of lost and illegally displaced cultural values during or as a result of World War II. Viacheslav Kyrylenko and Christoph Weil also raised the issue of restoration of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-German Commission for the deported Germans or creating a new Commission for the ethnic Germans.
