H. Zubko: We will do our utmost to find the rest of Boeing 777 victims' bodies and return them to relatives

Ukraine together with the countries, whose citizens were killed in the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 plane crash, is seeking to put an end to the investigation of this crime and bring those responsible to justice as soon as possible. The Government of Ukraine continues to fulfill its obligations regarding the investigation of the plane crash and provides full support to the international experts who are investigating. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities, Chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission on coordination of the issues related to the investigation of aviation accidents Hennadii Zubko.

Today he met with head of the international MH17 recovery mission Pieter-Jaap Aalbersberg and representatives of delegations of the Netherlands, Malaysia and Australia to discuss issues related to the investigation of the Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 crash.

"It is very important for Ukraine to find bodies and remains of all the people who died as a result of the crime committed by the terrorists. We, together with all those involved in the investigation process, make every effort to enable the family of the innocently killed people to bury them, as required by human morality," Hennadii Zubko said.

He has informed that the next stage of the research of the crash site is being prepared and it will begin as soon as weather conditions permit.

"295 out of 298 victims’ bodies have been found, as well as 1560 human remains, most of which were identified by DNA. We will do our best to find three more dead bodies and return them to the relatives. Ukraine will fully assist in the investigation of this crime and awaits the arrival of a group of experts who will continue to explore the crash site," Hennadii Zubko stated.

He has thanked the representatives of the delegations of the Netherlands, Malaysia and Australia for good coordination that allows moving forward in the investigation of crime.
