Aivaras Abromavicius: Global community needs positive signal from Ukraine
An image of the country depends on the efficiency of the decisions taken by the Government and the
Verkhovna Rada in the last days of the year. In
particular, a positive signal to the world, the business
environment and the Ukrainian society will be the approval of the State Budget for 2015. This was stressed by Minister of Economic Development
and Trade of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius
on December 26, during a briefing at the
Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

"If we could adopt the budget, move further and approve a reform
package, it would be a positive signal that one can expect good news from
Ukraine. When there is a signal of good news from Ukraine, then we can talk
about certain specific amounts of assistance. Without reforms, without a
budget the signal will be negative, and it will be very difficult to stabilize
the situation," said Aivaras Abromavicius. Moreover, the Minister stressed that now there is a hard work both in
the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovna Rada committees on the
budget and expressed the hope that the efforts would yield success. |
