Gov't divested itself of its powers before the newly elected VR
The Government of Ukraine 
divests itself of its powers before the newly
elected Verkhovna Rada. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy
Yatsenyuk at the first session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VIII convocation
on Thursday, November 27.

He stressed that the new Verkhovna Rada appears "pro-European, pro-Ukrainian,
having a constitutional majority and a political will to reforms,
achievements and developments". "I have the honor to announce the
termination of powers of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The mission has
been completed. I ask you to appoint a new Government," said Arseniy
Yatsenyuk. Chairman of the meeting, head of the ad hoc working group on the
preparation of the first plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII
convocation Volodymyr Groysman announced that the Cabinet’s members continue
to perform their duties until the election of a new Government of Ukraine. |
