Volodymyr Groysman met with PACE Rapporteur on humanitarian affairs

Today, November 17, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Volodymyr Groysman met with the Rapporteur of the PACE Committee on migration, refugees and displaced persons Jim Sheridan.

Volodymyr Groysman thanked the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for a clear position in supporting Ukraine and condemnation of the Russian military intervention. Jim Sheridan highly evaluated the program of the Ukrainian Government to compensate for the internally displaced persons costs for rental housing, and also announced about plans to visit different regions of Ukraine and to analyze the living conditions of migrants.

The participants of the meeting discussed problems existing in organization of work with internally displaced persons, and outlined a range of issues requiring financial support by the international community, including restoring life in the liberated territories, rebuilding of destroyed infrastructure, financing of humanitarian affairs area.
