Ukraine and Moldova will stand together against new challenges and threats in the region

September 30, 2014 Minister of Foreign of Ukraine Pavlo
Klimkin had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of
the Republic of Moldova for Reintegration Eugen Karpov.
They
discussed further collaboration aimed at resolving important issues on the
Ukrainian-Moldovan agenda as well as cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova in
the sphere of regional security. The sides welcomed the progress in demarcation
of the common border.
Special
attention was paid to the need of further intensification of cooperation of both countries in countering new challenges and
threats. In particular, they discussed the current situation in the region and
stressed on necessity to continue negotiations on Transnistrian
settlement in the “5+2” format.
