Situation at the Ukrainian-Russian border

The border guard units keep guarding and defending the state border of Ukraine under extremely complex and strenuous conditions at the Ukrainian-Russian border, caused by military aggression of Russia against Ukraine.

During the day, the situation was characterized by further violation of ceasefire by gunmen, imposed by the initiative of the President of Ukraine; continuation of redeployment of Russian Federation Armed Forces and illegal armed groups with the increasing of their combat effectiveness.

Yesterday, it was reported that almost all Russian Federation troops deployed in northern Crimea (located in Armiansk, Krasnoperekopsk, Djankoi, Voyinske, Azovske) started moving towards the administrative line with mainland Ukraine with all equipment and ammunition. Small tactical groups of troops are located from Karkinits'ka Gulf to Arabatka. The above mentioned group of forces is about 4000 personnel.

Russian Federation continues conducting aerial reconnaissance using UAVs. The active reconnaissance flights of Russian UAVs continue being detected. During the day, the border guards observed 3 cases of conducting reconnaissance flights of Russian UAVs. One UAV has been detected near Mariupol and other two - on the administrative line with Crimea.
