Government of Ukraine and Ukrainian World Congress signed a Memorandum of cooperation
On Thursday, August 28, the Government of
Ukraine and the Ukrainian World Congress signed a Memorandum of cooperation. The
Memorandum was signed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk and
President of the Ukrainian World Congress Eugene Czolij.
The Head of
Government thanked Eugene Czolij for the assistance of the UWC provides to Ukraine.
Arseniy
Yatsenyuk demonstrated an example of first
aid kits that comply with NATO
standards and will be handed over to the
Ukrainian military personnel, thanks to the Ukrainian World Congress.
"I am convinced that the support of the Ukrainian World
Congress will give us a chance to survive. And together
with that to win," said the Head of Government.
The Memorandum of cooperation between the
Government of Ukraine and the Ukrainian World Congress contains
that targeting reinforcement of cooperation between the Ukrainian state and Ukrainian
expatriates, the protection of human, civil and national rights of Ukrainians
in the world, the assertion of independence and sovereignty of Ukraine, its
territorial integrity, promoting the democratic process in Ukraine, its
European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations, the Cabinet of Ministers and the UWC, in particular, shall cooperate in order to
facilitate realization of foreign political priorities of Ukraine, to ensure circulation
truthful information about Ukraine all around the world; foster fruitful and
mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and the governments countries
where Ukrainian expats reside; to provide humanitarian assistance to the
affected participants of the Revolution of dignity and victims of the
aggression of the Russian Federation; to monitor election processes in Ukraine;
to promote the development of civil society in Ukraine and public life of the
Ukrainians in the Diaspora.
