Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands
On Thursday, August 21, the Vice Prime
Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman met with
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Frans Timmermans.
The interlocutors discussed the issues
of restoring the infrastructure in the Eastern regions of
Ukraine. Frans Timmermans noted the willingness of the Netherlands to provide
assistance to restore Donbas, both at the bilateral
level and at the level of cooperation within the EU and the UN frames. Also the Minister of
Foreign Affairs of
the Netherlands has offered aid in the
organization of work of international
experts in Ukraine in the field of restructuring of coal mines.
The participants expressed hope for the second
stage of the search operation at the crash site of a Boeing 777 to be resumed
as soon as possible. Volodymyr Groysman and Frans Timmermans noted the high
level of cooperation and trust between the Netherlands and Ukraine and
expressed belief, they would use the experience of such cooperation not only to
overcome the consequences of the plane accident, but also as a platform for
further expanding of cooperation between the two countries.
