OSCE experts reached the site of downing of Boeing 777 passenger aircraft

July 31, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. Kyiv time, a group of OSCE international expert mission has arrived to the place of the plane’s crash. They are inspecting the territory with the debris in order to organize further investigation by the international investigation protection mission headed by representatives of the Netherlands.

Before, trying to get to the site of the tragedy the experts during several days were subjected to provocations of the terrorists who intended to hamper the investigators.

This morning the specialists arrived to Debaltseve where they were warned by rebels it was impossible to move further to achieve the place with the remnants through warfare. However, information concerning military attacks on the territory was denied by Ukrainian military representatives.

The militants refused to guarantee security for the OSCE expert mission and relevant support in the territory they control. The OSCE mission approved a decision to prolong their trip to the tragedy’s site despite the potential danger in the mentioned territory posed by uncontrolled terrorist gangs and criminal groups.
