EP Foreign Affairs Committee to hold an extraordinary meeting on July 22 in Brussels
The Ukrainian side
has initiated an extraordinary meeting of the European Parliament’s Committee on
Foreign Affairs in order to discuss the situation in Ukraine.
Commenting on the
initiative, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo
Klimkin said that despite the new international context
of the situation in Ukraine following the tragedy of the Malaysian plane, and despite
the obvious involvement in this crime of illegal terrorist groups that operate with
the direct assistance of Moscow, Russia continues ignoring the demands of the
international community and refuses to take a constructive approach in order to
de-escalate the situation.
An in-camera meeting
of the enlarged Bureau of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign
Affairs will be held in the afternoon on July 22 in Brussels.
