Situation at Ukrainian-Russian border

The situation on the border remains tense. Border guards continue performing tasks within the ATO general plan. Russian mercenaries and terrorists keep shelling border guard units.  

During last 24 hours, border guard units were fired about 10 times with multiple launch rocket systems "Grad" and mortars. In cases, when the firing was carried out from the rear position, not from the side of the state border, in order to suppress enemy fire was used artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of these attacks two border guards were injured.

The Russian Federation continues pulling in its troops to the state border of Ukraine. Moreover, unmanned aerial vehicles are used so as to explore the positions of border guards as well as ATO forces.

Today, near 7 a.m. in two cases were detected drones that carried out air exploration of Ukrainian security forces positions in the northern part of the Luhansk region at an altitude of about 1000 meters.

Also yesterday, near one of the places of deployment of the border guards in Luhansk region, the border guards found an equipped position for a sniper.
