Poltava region receives US$ 17 mln of foreign investment in the first quarter

US$17
million of foreign direct investment (equity) have been attracted to the
economy of Poltava region in the I quarter of 2014, in particular, to the
agricultural industry, industrial products manufacturing and restaurant
business development.
Volume of
the direct investment attracted in the region as of April 1, 2014 amounted to
US$ 1012, 6 million and per capita-US$ 695,9.
Investment
has been received from 51 countries. The main investor countries, which account
for more than 97% of the total direct investment include Switzerland-US$ 651,5
million, Cyprus-US$108,7 million, the Netherlands-US$100,8 million, UK -
US$58,0 million, Russian Federation-US$48,8 million, Panama-US$8.9 million, the
USA-US$7.3 million.
