http://www.kmu.gov.ua/img/1x1.gifFollowing part one article 10 of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation about crossing points over the state border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, on June 23 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved a decision to suspend international motor traffic in the border checkpoint Izvaryne located in Luhansk region.

As was reported earlier, at night of June 20 there was made an armed attack by a militant group on the state border checkpoint Izvaryne who by using small arms and weapons, as well as recurrent mortar attacks, significantly damaged its infrastructure and destroyed technological equipment.

As a result of the armed confrontation the personnel of the border unit shift and other controlling services was forced to leave the territory of the above-mentioned crossing border point.

The actions of illegal armed groups led to inability to perform clearance operations and ensure security of citizens in the process of crossing the state border in the checkpoint Izvaryne.
