Olexandr Shlapak: IMF mission is due to visit Ukraine in June
An IMF mission is planned to arrive
to Ukraine in June. The
Finance Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Shlapak informed at a briefing on
May 12, at the House of
Government.

“The IMF assessment mission will arrive here
in June. It is then
we will discuss implementation of the budget
and GDP state,” the Finance Minister
of Ukraine stressed. He noted the IMF had forecast reducing of real
GDP in Ukraine by 5% in 2014. The Finance Ministry
agrees with this number of
the International Monetary Fund. Moreover, the Finance Minister emphasized this issue would be
raised during the negotiation with the IMF mission members in June during
their due visit to Ukraine.
He added reconsidering
of the State Budget numbers isn’t planned to raise.
Therefore, Olexandr Shlapak
informed the Government hadn’t applied funds of the first
tranche given by the International
Monetary Fund which Ukraine in the amount
of USD 3.2 billion. “We haven’t lost
a cent out of the funds
transferred to the budget of
our country,” he said and
explained that according to the calculations the loan funding
should be enough to pay
off along our international obligations. |
