Government commissions to finish discussion of changes to Constitution concerning decentralizing of power by October 1

The Government has approved an order “On organization of holding the discussion of provisions of the changes to the Constitution of Ukraine in terms of decentralization of state power”. A respective order was adopted at an extraordinary meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers in the evening of April 17.

With this document the ministers, heads of other central executive authorities, regional, Kyiv municipal state administration are commissioned to organize and ensure by October 1, 2014, the discussion of relevant changes to the Constitution with engagement of local self-government bodies, their associations, the society, scientific and business circles.

The Ministry of Regional development, Building and Housing and Communal Services is instructed to coordinate holding the discussion.
