"The Government has taken strong measures to combat crime, gang violence and, in particular, organized corruption," the Prime Minister of Ukraine said on Sunday, March 23, at a session of the Government.

Arsenii Yatseniuk said that the Ministry of Interior and the force power unit have worked to protect law and order.

"I am sure that the Interior Ministry will continue to work hard to prosecute former officials and I note separately - new officials. No political colors. Documenting, arrests and transfer of materials to the court - whether these are the previous government officials, or they are from today's ruling authority,"- he said.

"The faster and more efficient law enforcement system will work - the more chances we have not just to break the corruption, but also to fill the budget and provide appropriate social standards," the Prime Minister said.

Arsenii Yatseniuk has also instructed the Ministry of Finance to provide funds necessary for additional measures of mobilization and funding of the Ministry of Defense on Monday. "We have many problems, but our troops that are remaining surrounded by Russian troops need assistance," the Prime Minister said.
