"We are taking all measures to restore the functioning of banking system and the Treasury in the Crimea," Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk told this to reporters Monday, March 10.

According to him, "the so-called occupation authorities of Crimea have announced that they are transferring to the ruble zone, and they actually cut off the operation of the Treasury and the National Bank of Ukraine in the autonomy."

Arsenii Yatseniuk informed that wages of Ukrainian military men are being transferred via one of Ukrainian banks. "All the UAH 125 million (a one-time payment for military men in Crimea - ed.) will be transferred to the personal accounts of each of the military man’ card. This issue is clearly resolved."

"Starting tomorrow, we fulfill all transfers," the Prime Minister stressed.

He also recalled that connection via "Ukrtelecom" in the Crimea was interrupted, and the government tried three times to restore it through the means of satellite communication. Moreover, as Arsenii Yatseniuk stressed there were attempts to capture the relevant facilities in order "to open databases of the National Bank and the State Treasury of Ukraine."
