Frigate Hetman Sahaydachniy under Ukrainian flag back to Ukraine

Hetman Sahaidachny flagship of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, which has exercised its duties within NATO operation Ocean Shield and EU ATALANTA operation in the Gulf of Aden and the western part of Indian Ocean has passed the Dardanelles with a raised Ukrainian flag on the mast on March 4, at 8.00.

At the entrance to the Strait Turkish boat Ruşen Bey met and accompanied Ukrainian warship.

It is expected that the ship will pass Bosphorus soon and access to the Black Sea.

Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul is studying the issue with representatives of the Turkish government on the possibility to support the crew of the Ukrainian warship by flying a large Ukrainian flag on one of the bridges over the Bosphorus.
