L.Denisova: Pension payments to be started a day earlier in Crimea
”In Ukraine, pension funding
for March has already started, while in the Crimea and Sevastopol it has began the
day earlier”, Minister for Social Policy Lyudmila Denisova
said at a briefing in the Parliament of Ukraine.
"All pensions for
February are fully funded and paid on time, moreover, we
have already begun pension funding for March. The
citizens of the Crimea and Sevastopol have started receiving these payments a
day earlier", Lyudmila Denisova emphasized. The
Minister has stressed that there are all necessary funds to pay pensions. She added
that until March 7, 2014 pensions will be financed in full.
In addition, L. Denisova said that all public social assistance for
February to families with children were funded and paid on time, now the financing
of public social benefits for March is to start. "We
need 3.9 bln UAH: the first
payment should be 3.4 bln UAH.
We
believe that these funds will be found in the state budget", she said.
According to the Minister,
on payments that are made through social insurance funds, unfortunately, debts have
been left. This
in particular applies to payments for sickness, maternity and unemployment
allowances.
"Today, some are
financed, while we have debt of 715 million UAH. Amid them: about 255 million UAH of unemployment allowance and
195 million UAH – sickness benefits.
