European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle has called on Ukrainian politicians to remember what implications can have their decisions and he also recalled that there are people on both sides of the fence in Kyiv.

The visiting of medical institutions has become a part of the program of his visit for the first time. Štefan Füle has examined the conditions of treatment of Ukrainian policemen who suffered during the riots on the Hrushevskoho Street in the capital.

Representatives of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine showed European Commissioner the video, which documented the consequences of illegal acts of participants of riots. He also had a chance to talk with policemen who are in the central hospital of the Interior Ministry.

According to Štefan Füle, it does not matter on which side of the fence people have been injured. He also said that he wanted to express human solidarity and thanked the doctors for their professional work.

"I’d like to appeal to politicians: when they will consider current issue and future decisions for Ukraine that they were aware that some of their decisions may have the consequences like these," European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle said.
