Leonid Kozhara met with the OSCE-Secretary General and the UN Secretary-General

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara met with OSCE-Secretary General Lamberto Zannier within his visit to Germany to participate in the Munich Security Conference.

Leonid Kozhara assured that Ukraine would actively participate in the work of the Organization in framework of the OSCE-Troika. In consideration of the Ukrainian chairmanship the parties agreed to cooperate on the OSCE-agenda.

To this purpose Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara, current OSCE- Chairperson-in-Office President and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation Didier Burkhalter and OSCE-Secretary General Lamberto Zannier will additionally meet at the Conference.

Leonid Kozhara also met with the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. Leonid Kozhara informed the Secretary-General about the latest efforts of President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych to stabilize the situation in Ukraine.

Ban Ki-moon highly evaluated the actions of the President for the resolution of the political crisis.

Ban Ki-moon underlined the importance of the preservation of the positive dynamic in the stabilization of the situation, stressing the key role of the Ukrainian government.

The parties also discussed the results of the recent visit to Ukraine of the United Nations Special Coordinator Robert Serry.
