Serhiy Arbuzov determines acute tasks for the Government
Actual tasks
for the Government today are ensuring timely payments of salaries and
uninterrupted operation of all life support systems of the country. The acting
First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov announced at the session
of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Serhiy Arbuzov stressed that in whole in the country throughout 20
days of January of 2014 arrears of wages decreased by UAH 23 million or by
almost 3%. At the same time, according to him, in certain regions arrears of
wages grew: “in particular, in Kyiv – by UAH 13.5 mln,
Volyn region – by UAH 1.1 million, in Ivano-Frankivsk and Vinnytsya
regions – by UAH 0.3 and 0.5 million respectively”.
He emphasized
that local executive authorities must analyze the reasons of growth of the debt
and ensure its drastic reduction, and to report to the Cabinet of Ministers
about the taken measures.
Moreover, Serhiy Arbuzov drew attention to the
need to ensure effective activity of life support system of the country,
especially in winter time.
“Taking
into account the weather forecast the priority issues include: uninterrupted
operation of housing and communal services, timely cleaning up the roads, on-line
repair of power networks damaged in the result of snowfalls and strong wind,” he
noted.
In this
connection, Serhiy Arbuzov
commissioned profile ministers to organize work to fulfill the mentioned tasks.
“The necessary prerequisite for that appears unblocking of the administrative buildings,
so that the authorities in the regions could perform their functions properly,”
he added.
