O. Vilkul: More than 4 thousand points of heating and 1.2 thousand social patrols operates in regions

Due to the harsh weather conditions - decreasing temperature to minus 20 degrees, sleet, snow, blizzards, high winds vice Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Commission for Emergency Situations and Technogenic and Ecological Security Olexandr Vilkul held a meeting regarding the items heating and social patrols.

"All services operate in enhanced around the clock mode to assist citizens during severe frosts. By order of the Government in the region there is 4105 points of heating and 1153 social patrols on duty," Olexandr Vilkul said.

As part of the social mobile teams patrol - rescuers, doctors and volunteers who provide assistance to people and, if necessary, they are sent to the points heating or medical facilities. Particular attention is paid to the duty of night patrols. Thanks to social patrols, from the beginning of the first frost (December 5) around 300 people have been saved from hypothermia and delivered to points of heating and hospitals, including 87 people last night.
