M. Azarov commissions interdepartmental panel to elaborate negotiating capacities of Ukraine for the talks with the EU
The Prime Miister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has commissioned the interdepartmental
group led by Vice Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko in a two-months’ term to elaborate
the negotiating capacities of Ukraine with regards to the conditions of
implementation of the Association Agreement and Free Trade Area with the European
Union.

The Head
of Government stated during a Government’s session on January 15, 2014. “I commission
the interdepartmental panel led by the Vice
Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko, basing on the conducted analysis, in the course
of not more than two months to elaborate detailed positions of Ukraine
regarding conditions of implemetation of the Association Agreement,” Mykola
Azarov declared. The Prime
Minister noted that the Cabinet of Ministers had completed modeling of practical
scenarios of action of FTA with the European Union. Various meetings with representatives
of different areas of industry and agrarian sector were devoted to this
issue. “That’s preliminary sector analysis of risks existing for the national
economy under these conditions has been carried out. It leads to certain conclusions
concerning which conditions of implementation of the Agreement we have to
agree with the European partners about,” Mykola Azarov stressed. In his
opening statement the Head of the Government dwelled on separate aspects of
the problem relating practically every branch of the national industry. According
to him, an issue of coordination of the conditions to implement the Association
Agreement and FTA with the EU is of extreme weight for Ukraine, as the topics
of filling the budget and economic development of our country are directly
connected with our economic interests in the European direction. |
