Prime Minister: Those who are blocking the work of Verkhovna Rada work against Ukraine

Those who are blocking the work of the Verkhovna Rada continue to work against Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov emphasized during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on January 15, 2014.

The Prime Minister noted that the next day the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was to consider the draft State Budget for 2014 and approve it in whole.

“It is the budget of social stability and development of the country,” the Head of the Government stressed. “It is our guarantee that during the current year we will solve the problems in the economic and will be able to better ensure our people with all kinds of social assistance under conditions of the world recession. It is evident that just such scenario of stable development of the country the opposition is trying not to afford at all cost”.

To the conviction of Mykola Azarov, by blocking approval of the budget the opposition wishes to shuffle off the responsibility for the possible delays in payments of raised salaries to the budget employees, of social assistance to mothers and children, invalids et cetera on the Government, as a result of non-approval of the budget. For the unapproved budget will lead to failure to build schools, kindergardens, hospitals, failure to innovate ambulance service, failure to build roads.

“Do tell, the people of Ukraine need such destabilization of social and economic life? Especially under conditions of the global economic slowdown. The answer is apparent: those who are blocking the work of the Verkhovna Rada today continue to work against Ukraine,” Mykola Azarov said.

At the same time, the Prime Minister expressed assurance that despite all that we would be capable to overcome the resistance of the destructive forces this time as well.

“It is vital to consider the budget constructively, pursuant to the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada, which, by the way, was voted for also by the representatives of the opposition and now they refuse to fulfill that, it has to be approved in one day,” Mykola Azarov said. “So, I really hope that the Parliament’s members approve the decision with maximal responsibility”.

The Prime Minister demands that all the Government’s members worked maximally with the profile committees, MPs and grounded once again contained in the budget balances that must not be violated. “We must convince the Parliament’s members that only the real budget will give the country the way to develop stably,” Mykola Azarov summed up.
