MIA of Ukraine informed ambassadors on events on January 10 in Kyiv

Heads of low enforcement agencies of Ukraine have informed ambassadors on events near Kyiv-Svyatoshynskyi district court on January 10. Besides, representatives of agencies answer to the diplomats’ question regarding investigative proceedings of a series of high-profile events, including – beating of Yuri Lutsenko. The briefing that was held in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine was attended by the ambassadors of 26 countries of Europe, the UK, Canada, the USA and the EU.

About the situation around the events on January 10 near the Kyiv-Svyatoshynskyi Court of Kyiv region, foreign ambassadors were informed by representatives the Foreign Ministry, the Security Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Interior, General Prosecutor's Office.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara the goal of the meeting is the need to report to the foreign representatives about the events in Ukraine.

He noted that the Government of Ukraine proceeds from the inadmissibility of the use by someone from political actors, including - opposition actuators for artificial tension in society and public incitement to unlawful acts.

"In particular - to obstructing the legitimate activities of law enforcement agencies, especially - carrying out attacks on their workers," Leonid Kozhara said.
