Ambassador has expressed respect to the Ukrainian militiamen for the
demonstrated restraint.

Geoffrey Pyatt noted during a briefing at the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Ukraine that took place on January 13: “I am
very grateful, Mister Minister, for the organization of this briefing. I wish
to start with the following: on behalf of our Government I would like to
inform You that we acknowledge that the subdivisions of militia being present
on the place of events refrained from any use of force. I was
watching a lot of video that concerned the demonstrations, tensions and in
this case I just express my respect for the restraint demonstrated by Your colleagues”. |
