Final stage of priority registration in .УКР Cyrillic domain begins in Ukraine

The fifth stage of the priority registration of domain names in the .УКР Cyrillic domain, which began on January 4, 2014 and will last for a month in Ukraine. This is the final stage, after which the registration of domain names in the .УКР Cyrillic domain will be available to everyone who wish.

This was started by Chairman of the State Agency on Science, Innovations and Informatization Volodymyr Semynozhenko.

Domain names at the fifth stage of priority registration of domain names in the .УКР Cyrillic domain also continue to register based on criteria identified in previous stages such as corporate (commercial) names of companies and businesses and other legal entities, trademarks (sings of trademarks and services), geographical indication of origin of goods, names of geographic locations and regions of Ukraine (cities, towns, etc.), names of countries (states) of the world and international unions international organizations, names of state and local governments and others.

Domain name registration is done through accredited registrars of domain names in the .УКР Cyrillic domain.

V. Semynozhenko reminded that there were 2300 domain names in the .УКР Cyrillic domain in the end of 2013.
