The consistent growth of average wages up to $620 on average by 2021 will become one of the reasons that will allow Ukrainians not to seek a better life somewhere in the world, but to stay in Ukraine and work for the benefit of their homeland. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said on air of the Ukrayina TV channel.

Prime Minister recalled that three years ago the minimum wage in Ukraine had been $50, and now, as a result of the Government's economic reforms, it has risen to $150. The average wage has doubled, and now you can find a job with a UAH 10,000 salary or more. And if we continue the reforms and meet the global challenges we face, each Ukrainian citizen will still ponder whether to leave the country. "The decision-making process (concerning the move) will be already competitive", said Volodymyr Groysman.

    Background

Volodymyr Groysman said this week, during a ceremony of the signing a new tripartite Framework agreement between the Government, trade unions and employers, the Cabinet of Ministers has a clear objective as to what the average wage in Ukraine should be for 2021 - $620 in the dollar equivalent.
